Daniele Lui

Daniele Lui was born in the province of Mantua, where beauty, style and discipline go hand and hand. Daniele participated in the  first thirty years of “Made In Italy” initially as a key player and then as an  entrepreneur.Having wanted to work as an artist and architect, Daniele entered the world of hairdressing at a very young age  and it was love at first sight: hair became the tool  with which he is able to express himself and stand out from the rest.

In 1975, when he was only 25, after having trained at the best salons in the city where he learned the techniques of cutting, which he  combined with  his artistic talent,  he  opened his first boutique in Milan, in the heart of the city with four employees. An area of 60 square meters, where the philosophy which was to accompany him to this day had already been denoted: not a hairdressing shop but a space which has the concept of a beauty salon.
Whilst during those years he assisted  and participated in the creation of  “Made in Italy”.
In 1978 Daniele Lui moved to Via Santa Cecilia, in the heart of Milan, an area of  200 square meters, previously occupied by Armani, thus beginning the rise of the creation of large salons.
Participating in  fashion shoots for Vogue, Harper's Bazaar with the most celebrated photographers of the time, such as Toscani, Newton, Krieger, Patrick Demarchelier and Michael Comte.

His staff, which is amongst the most competent and knowledgeable in the city,  a special team was created in order to assist the work on the photo shoots. In the 80's and 90's  Milan and Italy were seen as a privileged destination for international photo shoots.
The work is on two fronts: the salon in the city center, a few steps from the Duomo,   offering the study of computerized  cuts as well as a laboratory which is specialized in the study of  personalized color and hairstyling offered to top fashion magazines.
In 1988 he opened the Grand Salon in via San Paolo, 250m, where, then ahead of its time, boasted a Wellness Area open until late in the evening.
Still continuing to collaborate with fashion, he obtains  an exclusive space inside the “Fiera di Milano” the  Milanese Exhibition Center during the event  “Milano Collezioni”.
Armani, Krizia, Soprani, Versace
are some of the names with whom he has collaborated. Consultant with  major cosmetic companies, for which he has studied and developed global projects.

Daniele LuiFrom 2000 to 2005 he was the Coordinator of the Hairstylist for the MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA).

In 2005, yet another  a turning point: being sensitive to issues regarding  ecology and wellness, Daniele buys a large new space in one of the most prestigious streets of the city of Milan, where he created a 360 degree salon, a unique space where one can  care for ones hair and regenerate ones body.
A Beauty workshopwhere a team of experts takes care of customers using highly innovative treatments, personalized and natural, specific for each part of the body and hair. This aspect, which was awarded in 2007 at the competition BEAUTY SALON DESIGN ( ref: REDBOOK Beauty Salon Design Guide).

2008 GLOBAL SALON BUSINESS AWARDS: THE  SALON DANIELE LUI WINS THE PRIZE  "CLIENT PHILOSOPHY / MARKETING & PROMOTION".

For Daniele Lui this was the most exciting moment of a career in constant evolution, beginning thirty years ago in the world of fashion and trend setting magazines and then  consolidated over the years with the development of a business unceasingly dedicated to research and quality.
